Works on paper are a significant part of Hendershot’s oeuvre. From early on, she used drawing as a regular means to develop ideas, deepen her observation, and record visual notes of the world and life.  While the works on paper indicate the fluid and at times restless nature of her creative life, many of them achieve a quality of formal resolution that make them spectacular stand-alone works of art.
